About Me: I am an interdisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn. Born in Portland (OR), raised in Tucson (AZ) and home in New York (City), I am inspired by the diversity and effortless ‘camp’ of the many cultures and aesthetics found across The States. With some time at Hunter College studying Studio Art, the internet, and many great artists and mentors to guide me, I am a product of a “crowd-sourced” Fine Arts education.

Much of my work is diaristic and deeply personal, often dealing with themes of alienation and existentialism. I am becoming increasingly interested in portraying excess and extremes, harsh contrasts and loose logic. By utilizing a variety of mediums, I work towards creating a world that feels distinctly recognizable as my own. I think of my entire collection of work, whether significant or in-, as The Piece. The overall picture that reveals itself over time is key to me. Because of this I am intentional and specific about the kind of work I take on, but very dedicated to what I do.

I also have an acute passion for documentation and archiving in many forms. I earnestly desire to preserve people, places, and moments. This is more apparent in my street and candid photography. Or in the thousands of pages worth of journals I keep which I often use for material and inspiration. In another life I would have been an anthropologist.

Photography is my most developed visual medium, specializing in film photography, processing and development.

I play bass and guitar, but mostly make music with drum machines and synthesizers. Working on a solo project as well as playing bass in Brooklyn based band Next 2 Jimmy.

I am also a writer. - See more about everything mentioned in the top bar
